We had a full room this past Saturday night for our Child Sponsorship letter-writing party. Many children will now be receiving crafts plus letters of encouragement and love from someone they know cares for them. I was especially taken with this craft made just for Nompendulo in Swaziland…

.

High School students Lydia Thomas and Kaylee Propst spoke of their multiple trips to Guatemala and the impact on their lives to visit sponsored children. They have seen first hand how the Learning Center at Los Verdes is giving hope and stability to children living in poverty. Both Lydia and Kaylee have chosen majors in college next year that reflect how God has used these trips to frame their chosen courses of study.

As always, Cinthya Brown spoke passionately of the need for every child to have a sponsor. Cinthya herself was sponsored as a child in Colombia and knows deeply how important the sponsor letters are to children. Cinthya will be going to Guatemala next month with the Connection Pointe student team to spend a week with the children and staff, learning about the ministry and lives of the children there. Imagine the connection she will have with these children! Will you begin to pray for all that God will do through this team and Cinthya? Surely there will be stories to tell when they return.

Here are the next opportunities to sponsor children on campus…

ONE OF THE BEST WAYS WE KNOW…

Sponsoring a child is one of the best ways we know for people to make a difference in another part of the world.  Encourage your neighbors, work colleagues, family members, school friends to bring hope to a child in poverty. Sponsors do not have to attend Connection Pointe to participate. They simply need to make a decision to do this and then contact us for further information — globalimpact@connectionpointe.org.
